The Danube Limes, which forms part of the former frontiers of the Roman Empire, has been a World Heritage Site since 2021.
The Danube not only offers visitors scenic attractions but is also a cultural landscape dating back thousands of years. As a river that once formed the border of the Roman Empire, it is home to numerous archaeological sites and has plenty to offer those interested in culture.
